Impacts of the farrowing crate size and lift floors on piglet performance and mortality

Sébastien Turcotte, Agr.

Sébastien Turcotte holds a bachelor's degree in agronomy from Laval University. He joined the CDPQ team in 2011 as project manager and is in charge of the Building and Production Management sector since 2015. His expertise includes group sow management, building layout, loading docks, implementation of animal welfare standards, ventilation and animal management. As part of his job, he is in charge of the different research projects related to these fields of expertise. His tasks include preparing funding applications, supervising research projects, writing reports and outreach articles. Moreover, he does consulting work with breeders for different services offered by the CDPQ.
