Streptoccocus suis is responsible of important economic burden to swine producers worldwide. It affects post-weaned piglets and causes severe invasive diseases. Autogenous vaccines are the only preventive strategy; however, field studies on their efficacy are scarce. This study uses an autogenous vaccine containing five different S. suis serotypes in sows, to evaluate the transfer of maternal immunity to their litters.
